Grace and Compassion
Na'musa
Zulu – “Grace and Compassion”
1.60m x 1.70m
Painted in June 2025
Black cabochon tourmaline – 9.65 ct
Cut by Yvette, a female lapidary, DRC
Namusa means grace and compassion in Zulu.
This large painting, with its burnt earth tones, deep oranges, and warm browns, exudes a soothing, almost silent presence. It invites us to slow down. To look differently.
At its heart, a black tourmaline, cut by Yvette, a survivor of the atrocities of war
She became a lapidary. A rare, prestigious, demanding profession. She transforms raw material into controlled brilliance.
Namusa is dedicated to these invisible gestures, to dignity without noise, and to the strength of those who stand tall with grace.
I like to call them the queens of precious stones.

NA'MUSA
alchemy of matter-memory, at the heart of compassion
This painting explores the courage of a sincere, open heart, committed to all those who suffer. The cracks evoke wounds of the heart; the material speaks of collective memory.
NA'MUSA directly supports:
• street children, symbolized by phosphorescent figurines,
• pregnant women and war survivors, trained in gem cutting by our association.
• child soldiers, victims of abuse and any projects that bring hope and dignity.
By adopting Na'Musa, you not only own a beautiful work of art, but you also participate in building a better world.
