Nuruu is a rooted light.
A burst of light from scorched lands, moonless nights, and silent dawns.
The golden hues dance there with taupe greens, deep browns, and warm oranges.
The zircon, cut by a female survivor, rests at the heart of the material like a promise.
Beneath the surface, shades of red and silver lie in wait.
Each texture, each relief speaks of fire, dignity, and slow resurrection.
A painting to contemplate as one listens to a sacred chant.
Assignment
So that the light doesn't go out
Nuru was born from a stone given by a woman who transforms pain into beauty.
This painting is a bridge between art and reconstruction.
